Car Collision on 4th Street Left One Critically Injured

LUBBOCK, TX (October 24, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, a bicyclist was hospitalized following a vehicle crash on 4th Street.

Around 5:50 a.m. on October 4th, the incident happened in the 4600 block of 4th Street.

According to Lubbock PD, they responded to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist. Responders rushed the bicyclist to the University Medical Center.

Around 6:30 a.m., emergency personnel cleared the site. However, the investigation is still ongoing.

Moreover, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the street has since been reopened.

The identities of all parties have not been released at this time. Authorities will post updates as they become available to the public.
