45-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Chowchilla Boulevard

CHOWCHILLA, CA (October 27, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Road 15.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., near Chowchilla Boulevard.

Per reports, the driver of a passing pickup-truck hit a man that was walking on the west shoulder of the off-ramp to the southbound lanes of the freeway.

Upon impact the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.

First responders declared the 45-year-old male victim from Fresno dead at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed to the public at this time.

Police have not released any details regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. Those with additional information about the fatal Road 15 hit-and-run are encouraged to contact local officers.
