Two Pronounced Dead, One Hospitalized after Head-On Collision near Hulen Street
FORT WORTH, TX (October 26, 2023) – Early Monday morning, two people died after a wrong-way collision on Interstate 20.
The incident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. on October 9th, in the 4700 block of I-20.
According to the investigators, a pickup traveling westbound on eastbound lanes collided head-on with an SUV.
Due to the impact of the collision, both drivers of the pickup and SUV died on the spot.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passenger of the pickup, who sustained injuries, to JPS Hospital in stable condition.
Police blocked off the lanes with emergency vehicles for investigation and cleanup and advised motorists to use a designated service road, but the roadway has since reopened.
At this time, the investigation into the wrong-way crash on Interstate 20 is underway. Once available, more information will be released.
