39-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Solo-Car Collision on County Road 3385

FANNIN COUNTY, TX (October 26, 2023) – Thursday night, Shane Price Mackey lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 34.

Authorities responded to the scene near County Road 3385 on September 21st.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a southbound vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 39-year-old Mackey dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.

Following preliminary duties, investigators say Mackey was not wearing a seat belt.
