40-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Sheldon Road
ELK GROVE, CA (October 18, 2023) – Early Friday evening, a motorcycle collision on Elk Grove Florin Road left one man dead.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., near Sheldon Road and West Camden Drive.
Per reports, the rider of a speeding northbound motorcyclist struck a white Nissan than was turning left from southbound Elk Grove Florin Road.
Responding emergency personnel declared the rider dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities closed Florin Road between West Camden Drive and Sheldon Road as crews cleared the scene.
Elk Grove Officials will release the identity of the deceased motorcyclist once the next of kin has been notified. Police are asking those with additional information about the fatal crash to contact the Traffic Bureau at (916) 478-8148.
