41-Year-Old Mission District Woman Dies in Bicycle Accident near Alemany Boulevard

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 18, 2023) – Saturday morning, Laura Taylor was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle crash on Highway 280.

Authorities responded to the scene around 12:27 a.m., on the northbound lanes near Alemany Boulevard East on October 14th.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking in the center median, opposing traffic. Officers then received another call saying the woman was on a bicycle.

At around 12:41 a.m., units from the San Fransico Dire Department arrived and declared one person dead at the scene. Investigators said the driver involved did not pull over and fled the area before the authorities arrived. 

The Office of the Medical Examiner later identified the deceased victim as 41-year-old Taylor, of Mission District, San Francisco. 

At this time, authorities have not provided any details regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. Those with additional information about the fatal hit-and-run are encouraged to contact San Francisco Officials as soon as possible.
