Man Airlifted after Truck with Cargo Crashed on Webber Canyon Road

BENTON COUNTY, WA (October 16, 2023) – On Thursday morning, a truck driver was airlifted after a crash on Webber Canyon Road.

According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the truck was hauling a large amount of potato flour headed northbound when the crash occurred.

It was unknown at this time how the incident occurred and how many vehicles were involved. Furthermore, the truck driver suffered injuries, and responding paramedics airlifted him to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the authorities blocked Webber Canyon between the intersection of Badger Road and County Well Road during the length of the incident. It was later reopened by the deputies.

No additional information was added by the investigators, and an active investigation is currently underway.

Like other truck accidents, unsecured cargo, and lost load can cause death, serious injury, or property damage. The truck driver must inspect the load to ensure it is adequately secured and safe to travel. Before heading out on the road, inspect the load properly. As safety rules require, make sure the load or cargo is secure within 50 miles of beginning the trip. Make any necessary adjustments as needed.
