One Dead after Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Collision on Kietzke Lane [Reno, NV]
Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash Left One Pedestrian Killed
RENO, NV (October 16, 2023) – On Saturday evening, police responded to a hit-and-run collision on Kietzke Lane that killed one person.
According to the Reno Police Department, it occurred just before 7:50 p.m., October 7th, just north of Gentry Way.
Furthermore, investigation showed that the pedestrian was not a in marked crosswalk when they got struck by the vehicle.
Consequently, the first responders transported the pedestrian to the hospital but due to the severity of their injuries, they succumbed to it and later died.
Moreover, the driver that struck the pedestrian fled the scene. Witnesses from the crash remained and assisted before the authorities arrived. A portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, the identity of the victim was withheld by the police, pending family notification.
