Two Hospitalized after Pursuit Collision near Interstate 35

SAN ANTONIO (October 12, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, a man was arrested and two were hurt in a police pursuit crash on Northeast Loop 410.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m., in the 4100 block of southbound Northeast Loop 410, near Interstate 35 and Space Center Drive.

According to NBPD, officers noticed a suspicious red car with white spray paint. When the suspect noticed police, he sped off and attempted to flee the area. As a result, a pursuit began.

Officers eventually deployed spike strips that caused severe damage to the suspect’s tires before the vehicle hit a van and came to a stop a few miles away. Police then arrested the driver who attempted to flee on foot.

Moreover, the female passenger and 58-year-old van driver were transported to a local hospital and suffered minor injuries.
