BROWNSVILLE, TX (October 11, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a man was hospitalized following a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Southmost Road.
Authorities responded to the scene at the 4700 block of Southmost Road near Esperanza Road on September 20th.
According to the police, the driver of a gray or silver vehicle struck a pedestrian and immediately fled the scene.
Responding medics transported the injured victim to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the involved driver fled the scene and did not cooperate with the investigation.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more information will be released.
