23-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near 21st Street
SPARKS, NV (October 5, 2023) – Friday morning, Jonathan Ayala-Chavez was arrested after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Glendale Avenue.
Police responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., near 21st Street on September 22nd.
Investigators believe the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Paramedics arrived and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
In addition, a witness followed the suspect after he left the scene and led officers to his arrest. As a result, police booked 23-year-old Ayala-Chavez into the Washoe County Jail for hit-and-run charges.
