1 Dies in Fiery Garbage-Truck Collision on Loop 101 [Phoenix, AZ]
One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident near 7th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (October 5, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, one victim was fatally injured in a fiery garbage-truck collision on Loop 101.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., near 7th Avenue on September 23rd.
Per reports, the driver of a pickup-truck slammed into a garbage truck for reasons unknown. Upon impact, the pickup-truck became engulfed in flames.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the driver of the pickup-truck who was still inside the vehicle, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the garbage truck remained uninjured. Authorities blocked off the eastbound lanes of the freeway before it was later reopened.
