9-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Nellis Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 3, 2023) – Thursday evening, a child was fatally struck by a bus in a pedestrian crash on Charleston Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m., near Nellis Boulevard and Lamont Street on September 21st.
Officers say the driver of an RTC bus struck a woman in her 30s or 40s and a 9-year-old girl who were walking outside of a marked crosswalk. Due to the impact of the crash, the woman and the young girl both suffered life-threatening injuries.
Medics later pronounced the child dead, due to the extent of her condition. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity or her relationship to the woman.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old bus driver remained uninjured.
No additional information was added by the authorities and an investigation is currently underway. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian crash on Charleston Boulevard.
