31-Year-Old Man Dies in Wrong-Way Accident in Ector County

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (September 29, 2023) – Tuesday evening, Jonathan Pete Fuentes-Wilson died in a wrong-way collision on South Loop 338.

First responders arrived to the scene around 7:56 p.m., on September 26th.

According to reports, Fuentes-Wilson was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and veered into oncoming lanes and struck a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by Juan Pablo Chavez.

Medics say 31-year-old Fuentes-Wilson, of Odessa was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews took 33-year-old Chavez, of Odessa to Medical Center Hospital for further treatment.
