One Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash on Grant Line Road [Tracy, CA]

One Killed in Two-Car Collision near South Bird Road

TRACY, CA (September 29, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, a person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Grant Line Road. 

The deadly collision happened around 4:20 a.m. in the area of Grant Line and South Bird roads in the unincorporated community of Banta near Tracy. 

The responding units of California Highway Patrol declared one person dead at the scene. The coroner’s office will release the identity of the deceased motorist once the next of kin has been notified.

It was not reported whether the second driver suffered any injuries.

At this time, the reason behind the fatal incident remains under investigation. In addition, the crash blocked both east and westbound lanes of South Bird Road between Berry Road and G Street.

No further details regarding the Grant Line Road two-vehicle crash have been released. Tracy Officials will provide more information once available.
