49-Year-Old Man Dead after Truck Crash near Farm-to-Market 2210
JACK COUNTY, TX (September 28, 2023) – Saturday morning, a two-car crash claimed the life of Phillip Wade Carr.
The incident happened on September 2nd, around 9:30 a.m., near the intersection of State Highway 199 and Farm-to-Market 2210.
According to reports, Carr was headed northbound in a 2012 Ford F250 on State Highway 199 when he was struck by a 2015 Ford F250 pulling a trailer. Investigators later reported that the 18-year-old woman driving the 2015 F250 failed to stop at a stop sign.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after. Officials pronounced 49-year-old Phillip Wade Carr dead, due to the extent of his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, medics transported the 18-year-old woman to Faith Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the collision, crews closed down the areas surrounding the crash to perform cleanup and preliminary duties.
