Man Fatally Struck in Bicycle Collision on Horizon Boulevard [El Paso, TX]
44-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Darrington Road
EL PASO, TX (September 27, 2023) – Early Monday morning, one man was fatally struck in a bicycle collision on Horizon Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m., at the 13780 block of Harrington Boulevard near Darrington Road.
Officers say the driver of a vehicle struck a cyclist for reasons unknown. Shortly after, another vehicle ran over the downed rider. Both drivers fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Medical personnel pronounced the 44-year-old male bicyclist dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.
Police are currently searching for a 2007-2012 Toyota Yaris and a 2015-2018 Volkswagen Jetta. Both vehicles are suspected to have front end damage.
Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal bicycle collision on Horizon Boulevard.
