Moped Versus SUV Collision Near Lockhill Selma Road Left Rider Dead
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 26, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, police arrested Paul Samaniego following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Wurzbach Parkway.
The fatal collision happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Lockhill Selma Road.
According to the police, a white Range Rover collided with a man in an eastbound red Vespa on Wurzbach. Investigators claimed that the Vespa rider made a left turn on Lockhill Selma when the crash occurred.
Tragically, responding medical personnel declared the 59-year-old man driving the moped dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the police arrested the Range Rover driver for driving while intoxicated, even though the driver had the right of way. Authorities identified the DUI driver as 40-year-old Paul Samaniego.
