76-Year-Old Man Dies after a Pedestrian Accident on Las Vegas near Cheyenne Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 25, 2023) – On Sunday evening, police responded to a pedestrian accident on Las Vegas Boulevard that killed one man.

The incident happened on September 17th, just before 7:55 p.m., in the area just south of Cheyenne Avenue.

Upon investigation, the officers learned that a 76-year-old man was walking outside a marked crosswalk when a 2004 GMC Sierra headed southbound struck him.

Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries, and responding paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have yet to receive the identity of the man.

Moreover, the 18-year-old male driver of the GMC remained at the scene and was assessed by the investigators. The driver showed no signs of being impaired.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still handling further investigation.
