Rider Involved in Truck Collision near Highway 50
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (September 25, 2023) -Wednesday evening, a three-vehicle accident on Sunrise Boulevard claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
The crash occurred on September 20th, at around 6:00 p.m., near the overpass of Highway 50 involving a motorcycle, a box truck, and a hatchback vehicle.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the three vehicles collided at the scene.
However, authorities have yet to determine the events leading up to the collision.
Furthermore, the authorities responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead.
At this time, the investigators do not yet know if speed played a role in the collision, and they excluded impairment as a factor.
Meanwhile, the deputies blocked the lanes in the area to conduct further examination. They later reopened it just before 9:20 p.m.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
