One Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on 405 Freeway [Los Angeles, CA]
Two-Vehicle Collision on 405 Freeway near North Mulholland Drive Resulted in Fatality
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 22, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, a two-vehicle collision on 405 Freeway claimed the life of one person.
Officers responded to the crash at around 4:30 a.m. along the southbound 405 at North Mulholland Drive in the Sepulveda Pass.
Upon arrival, they learned that a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle collided with a big rig truck. Both vehicles were located at the side of the freeway with significant damages.
As a result, one of the people involved sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner will release their identity to the public once the next of kin has been notified.
In the end, the CHP closed down all the southbound lanes of 405 Freeway as crews investigated and cleared the scene.
