25-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Reckless Driver

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 21, 2023) – On Thursday evening, police responded to a pedestrian crash that killed Jazmine Williams-Shepard.

The incident occurred in the area of East Cheyenne Ave near Van Der Meer Street at around 8:30 p.m., September 7th.

Upon investigation, troopers from the North Las Vegas Police Department learned that 25-year-old Williams-Shepard was walking outside a marked crosswalk on Cheyenne Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle headed eastbound.

Furthermore, the authorities arrived at the scene and found Williams-Shepard on the roadway suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, Williams-Shepard succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead moments later.

Meanwhile, the driver that struck Williams-Shepard did not remain at the scene and their current whereabouts are unknown at this time.

The NLVPD Traffic Bureau’s Major Collision Investigation Unit took over the investigation and any witnesses are urged to call the the NLVPD at 702-633-9111.
