One Child Dead following Fiery Collision on Duarte Road [Monrovia, CA]
Single-Vehicle Crash near Fifth Avenue Left Juvenile Fatally Injured
MONROVIA, CA (September 14, 2023) – Friday evening, a child was declared dead in a fiery collision on Duarte Road in Monrovia.
Officials responded to the collision around 7:35 p.m. at Duarte Road and Fifth Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. According to the investigators, the car crashed into several parked vehicles and into a tree.
Firefighters managed to extricate the occupants of the vehicle and transported them to Los Angeles General Medical Center. Unfortunately, the unidentified child succumbed to their injuries a short while later.
No further details regarding the Duarte Road fiery crash have been released to the public. At this time, the Arcadia Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is assisting with the investigation.
