One Pronounced Dead after Pursuit Crash near Tregaskis Avenue
VALLEJO, CA (September 6, 2023) – Early Wednesday evening, one driver was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Springs Road.
The incident occurred around 5:35 p.m., near Tuolumne Street.
According to reports, officers approached a Toyota Avalon that matched the description of a vehicle that was connected to multiple armed robberies.
In doing so, the suspect vehicle sped away in an easterly direction, traveling through multiple stop lights and signs. Amidst the pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed into two other cars causing fatal injuries to one driver. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the Toyota driver fled the scene on foot. In addition, paramedics took a female passenger from the suspect vehicle to a nearby hospital with significant injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers located a loaded firearm inside the Toyota. At this time, Vallejo Police officers are asking anyone with additional information about the Springs Road hit-and-run to contact (707) 648-4011.
