Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision on Rutland Drive

AUSTIN, TX (September 6, 2023) – Tuesday evening, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on North Lamar Drive.

The incident happened shortly before 4:00 a.m., near Rutland Drive on on August 27th.

According to reports, two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection. In addition, crews were able to locate a third vehicle that was involved and immediately arrested the driver.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced a female pedestrian who was involved dead at the scene. Police only described her as a 50-year-old woman.
