Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision near Arroyo Vista Drive Kills 71-Year-Old Man

SACRAMENTO, CA (August 31, 2023) – Saturday night, Jilberdo Uranga Avila was struck and killed in a pedestrian crash on Center Parkway.

The deadly collision happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Center Parkway and Arroyo Vista Drive. 

First responders at the site of the crash declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, it was unclear how the vehicle hit the victim. 

Police also located the driver at the scene, but no arrests have been made. 

Later, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased pedestrian as 71-year-old Jilberdo Uranga Avila. His place of residence remains unknown.
