33-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Polk Street

SYLMAR, CA (August 21, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, Daniela Giram was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on 210 Freeway.

Officers responded to the scene around 3:03 a.m., along the westbound lanes of 210 Freeway near Polk Street. 

Per reports, the driver of a big-rig struck a female pedestrian on the roadway. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 33-year-old Giram, of Los Angeles dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
