Deadly Solo-vehicle Rollover Crash Left One Fatality

TONOPAH, AZ (August 10, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a man died following a single-vehicle crash near Interstate 10.

The incident happened at the Hassayampa River bottom, just after 1:00 a.m., August 6th.

According to the deputies, an off-road vehicle driven by a man with two passengers was headed at the bottom.

Furthermore, the vehicle overturned and ended up killing the man. The two passengers suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

At this time, it was not known whether speed or impairment played a role in the accident, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office added.

The identities of the involved people, including the deceased, were not yet released at this time. An active investigation is currently being done by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
