2 Juveniles Involved in Stolen Vehicle Pursuit near Budlong Avenue
GARDENA, CA (August 4, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a stolen vehicle pursuit ended in a pedestrian crash on Rosecrans Avenue.
The chase started shortly before 3:45 p.m. in South Los Angeles after deputies spotted a white four-door vehicle, believed to be stolen.
Around 4:00 p.m., the suspects drove the stolen vehicle onto the sidewalk near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Budlong Avenue. The two occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. The police reported that the driver and a female juvenile passenger immediately surrendered.
However, another juvenile attempted to hide inside a doghouse and nearby residence before law enforcement detained them.
According to the police, the vehicle struck a pedestrian causing them to sustain injuries. The victim declined transport to a hospital for treatment.
