Woman Injured after Bicycle Collision on Market Street [San Diego, CA]
Electric Bicycle Accident in Gaslamp Quarter Resulted in Fatality
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 3, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a bicycle collision on Market Street left a woman seriously injured.
The incident happened at around 11:13 a.m., at the 400 block of Market Street in the neighborhood of Gaslamp Quarter.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an electric bike and a silver 2006 Chevrolet Silverado were stopped at a traffic light. Once the light turned green, the Silverado sideswiped the woman riding the bicycle.
Responding emergency personnel transported the female bicyclist to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
