28-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Coran Lane

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 31, 2023) – Early Monday morning, one man was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on Rancho Drive.

Around 6:51 p.m., police responded to the scene near Coran Lane just south of Lake Mead Boulevard.

Per reports, the rider of a 2015 Yamaha FZ-09 motorcycle was traveling south at a high rate of speed on North Rancho Drive. Meanwhile, a northbound 2015 Chrysler sedan was attempting to make a left turn and struck the rider.

Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected onto the road and both vehicles caught on fire. The sedan driver was able to exit their vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 28-year-old male motorcyclist from Las Vegas, dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

In addition, officers do not believe that impairment played a factor. Once available, further details will be provided.
