Four-Vehicle Collision near Hayden Road Left One Dead

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (July 31, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a multi-vehicle crash on Loop 101 left one woman dead.

On July 26th, at around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the westbound lanes of the highway near Hayden Road involving a four-vehicle collision.

Furthermore, the investigation showed that a Ford pickup tried to merge into the lanes but was not successful causing it to crash into a Chrysler sedan. The collision caused a chain reaction crash involving three more vehicles.

For reasons that are currently unclear, the Chrysler rolled over causing the female driver to sustain extreme injuries.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision shortly after and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released by authorities.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

At this time, the conditions of the other involved drivers are unavailable.
