Woman Killed in Vehicle Accident near H Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 17, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, police responded to a DUI crash on West Lake Mead Boulevard that killed one woman.
The incident happened on July 8th at around 1:35 a.m. on West Lake Mead Boulevard at the intersection of H Street.
According to the LVMPD, a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 55-year-old female pedestrian were involved in the crash.
In addition, the woman was walking south outside a marked crosswalk across West Lake Mead Boulevard.
As a result, the front of the Cherokee struck the woman and the impact caused her to end up eastbound on the road.
Consequently, responding paramedics transported the woman to UMC’s Trauma Unit but she succumbed to her injuries and died.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Cherokee stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. He showed no signs of impairment.
At this time, the identity of the woman was not yet released. Also, the crash on West Lake Mead Boulevard is still under investigation.
