One Killed Following a Red-Light Collision on Atlanta Avenue near Bushard Street

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 17, 2023) – On Wednesday afternoon, a 68-year-old man lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Atlanta Avenue.

The accident took place on July 5th, near Bushard Street around 3:30 p.m.

According to reports, a man driving a Toyota Corolla ran through a red light at the intersection and collided with a Mercedes-Benz GLC, which had a green light.

First responders took the occupants of the Mercedes-Benz with minor injuries to a local hospital, along with the 68-year-old man who suffered serious injuries and later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, authorities ruled out impairment as a factor in the fatal crash on Atlanta Avenue.
