Man Dead after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on East Twain Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]
47-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Accident near University Center Drive
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 5, 2023) – Sunday evening, one man was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on East Twain Avenue.
Dispatchers responded to the scene around 9:10 p.m., just east of University Center Drive north of the UNLV campus on July 2nd.
Per reports, the driver of a 2021 Nissan Rouge SUV was heading west on Twain Avenue and struck a pedestrian.
Upon impact, the involved driver fled the scene without contacting authorities or rendering aid.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the male pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers confirmed that the hit-and-run vehicle was a rental Nissan with an Oregon license plate. At this time, local authorities are still looking for the suspect and any witnesses are urged to call the LVMPD at (702) 828-3595.
