Pedestrian-Auto Collision near Clayton Road Left 38-Year-Old Pleasant Hill Woman Dead

CONCORD, CA (June 23, 2023) – A pedestrian crash on Highway 242 near Concord claimed the life of Aniesha Dotson.

Contra Costa CHP Officers responded to the incident around 11:30 p.m. along southbound 242, south of Clayton Road. 

According to the police, a southbound Lexus IS-250 hit a woman that happened to be in the traffic lanes of the freeway.

Unfortunately, the female pedestrian sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, a passenger inside the Lexus received minor injuries. 

Later, the Contra Costa County coroner’s office identified the deceased woman as 38-year-old Aniesha Dotson of Pleasant Hill. Authorities continue to investigate why Dotson was in the roadway.
