21-Year-Old Man Surrendered Himself after Striking and Killing One Pedestrian near Valencia Road

TUCSON, AZ (June 22, 2023) – Late Friday night, Arlin Antone was involved in a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Kevin Baughman.

The incident happened on June 16th at around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Valencia and Mark Roads.

Investigation showed that 29-year-old Baughman was walking in the middle of Valencia Road and he wore dark-colored clothing.

Furthermore, police said that 21-year-old Arlin Antone braked hard before he struck Baughman and he later drove away from the scene.

Consequently, Antone surrendered himself to the authorities and was booked into Pima County Jail.

Additionally, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Antone was charged with hit-and-run causing death. No other details were added and further investigation is active.
