Woman Killed Following Auto-Pedestrian Crash at Union Avenue near 7th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 20, 2023) – Sunday night, an unidentified woman died after an auto-pedestrian accident at Union Avenue.
The accident happened around 11:06 p.m. on June 4th, at Union Avenue near 7th Street.
According to reports, the two pedestrians crossed Union Avenue roadway from the center median, outside of a crosswalk, and straight into the path of a northbound car.
Responding officers arrived and transported the man who suffered significant injuries to a local hospital, while the woman died on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle, who showed no signs of impairment, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
