Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Calaveras Street
FRESNO, CA (July 5, 2023) – Tuesday evening, one pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision on B Street.
Police responded to the scene near Calaveras Street around 9:30 p.m., on June 6th after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Shortly after, the involved driver returned to the area.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Following preliminary duties, police arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
