Rollover Collision on Frontage Road 02 Resulted in Death of 19-Year-Old Driver
BATTLE MOUNTAIN, NV (June 14, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, a single-vehicle crash at Frontage Road 02 claimed the life of Arturo Arellano.
The accident occurred on June 7th, just before 5:00 a.m., near Interstate 80.
According to Nevada State Police, a black Ford Ranger traveling east veered off the right side of the road, turned at an angle, and then overturned.
First responders arrived shortly after and pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Police identified him as 19-year-old Arturo Arellano.
In addition, Nevada State Police reported that Arellano was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash which caused him to be thrown from the truck.
At this time, police suspect impairment as the cause of the crash. However, an active investigation is still underway.
