Female Pedestrian Dies after Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Garfield Avenue near San Marino Avenue

ALHAMBRA, CA (May 12, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a pedestrian accident on Garfield Avenue claimed the life of one unidentified woman.

The accident occurred at about 2:13 p.m. at the intersection of Garfield and San Marino Avenues on April 11th.

According to the CHP, the woman was crossing in a marked crosswalk when an incoming vehicle turning left to southbound Garfield Ave struck the pedestrian.

Alhambra Firefighters arrived and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she later died. Officials withheld the name of the victim until her next of kin are notified.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police authorities.

At this time, Alhambra authorities are conducting an active investigation into the fatal accident on Garfield Avenue and will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
