Man Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Accident on 16th Street [Phoenix, AZ]
Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Clarendon Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (April 19, 2023) – Late Friday night, one man was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on 16th Street.
Just before midnight, police responded to the scene near Clarendon Avenue on April 14th.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle attempted to make a left turn while the motorcyclist was heading south on 16th Street. As a result, the driver struck the rider at the intersection.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers confirmed that the driver displayed signs of impairment and was processed for DUI.
At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
