1 Killed in Motorcycle Crash near Grand Avenue [Glendale, AZ]
Rider Killed in Traffic Accident near 67th Avenue
GLENDALE, AZ (April 14, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a motorcyclist died following a motorcycle crash near Grand Avenue.
On April 8th, around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the scene involving a motorcyclist and a truck towing a trailer.
According to the Glendale police, the motorcyclist was traveling northwest on Grand Avenue from 67th Avenue when the truck made a left turn from the opposite direction and turned in front of the rider.
As a result, the motorcyclist crashed into the trailer, where he suffered life-threatening wounds.
Furthermore, responding officers and paramedics performed life-saving efforts for the rider, who died.
The rider’s identity was not yet disclosed, and police added that the rider was wearing a helmet then.
Meanwhile, the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the deputies present.
Additionally, Grand Avenue from 71st to 67th Avenues were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
The authorities released no other information, and a crash is still under investigation.
