Geary Street U-Haul Truck Accident Left One Fatality

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 13, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a FedEx truck crash on Jones Street left one pedestrian fatally injured. 

Dispatch received reports of the incident around 12:13 p.m. in the area of Jones and Geary Street in San Francisco. 

According to several witnesses, a U-Haul truck hit a pedestrian standing near a parked vehicle. 

Subsequently, the U-Haul continued to roll onto the intersection and crashed into a FedEx truck before coming to a stop. 

Despite the life-saving efforts performed by the witnesses, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital. 

His identity has not been released to the public, pending notification from the next of kin. 

Meanwhile, footage from a citizen showed the U-Haul truck resting on Geary Street.
