Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on El Camino Real [San Francisco, CA]
Hit-and-Run near McClellan Drive Left One Person Dead
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 7, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, one pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision on El Camino Real.
The deadly crash happened around 1:06 a.m. at the 1500 block of El Camino Real, near McClellan Drive.
According to reports, a motorist hit the pedestrian trying to cross the southbound lanes. However, the driver did not aid the victim and fled before authorities arrive. The collision left the pedestrian with fatal injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision shortly after and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officials have not released their identity yet.
Police closed the southbound lanes of El Camino Real for several hours from Hickey Boulevard to McLellan Drive as crews investigate.
