One Injured in Five-Vehicle Crash on Highway 92 [Foster City, CA]
Multi-Vehicle Collision on San Mateo Bridge Resulted in Injury
FOSTER CITY, CA (April 12, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a five-vehicle crash on Highway 92 left at least one person with injuries.
Officers responded to the collision around 3:30 p.m. on the San Mateo Bridge in Foster City.
Upon arrival, units discovered the wreckage blocking the left and center lanes midspan. Vehicles in the eastbound are only able to pass in one remaining open lane, causing major traffic back-up.
Eventually, responding medical personnel arrived at the scene and treated one person who sustained a minor injury.
At around 4:15 p.m., emergency crews managed to clear the westbound lane. All lanes reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding the Highway 92 five-vehicle crash.
