Man Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Accident near Sky Harbor

TEMPE, AZ (April 21, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a man was hospitalized following a wrong-way crash on Loop 202.

The incident happened just before 4:00 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Sky Harbor on March 24th.

Per reports, a woman in her 30s was heading east on the westbound lanes of the freeway.

Furthermore, she struck an oncoming vehicle near Scottsdale Road.

As a result, the driver of the vehicle sustained serious injuries from the accident. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Following preliminary duties, investigators say the woman was driving in the wrong way to harm herself.
