2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Wrong-Way Accident on Demaree Street [Visalia, CA]
Two Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Whitendale Avenue
VISALIA, CA (March 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, two victims were killed and one was hurt in a wrong-way accident on Demaree Street.
Police responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m., just south of West La Vida Avenue on March 15th.
According to reports, the driver of a northbound black GMC pickup-truck veered into the southbound lanes. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with an oncoming black Cadillac sedan.
Due to the impact of the collision, paramedics pronounced the driver and passenger inside the sedan dead at the scene. In addition, crews transported the truck driver to Kaweah Health Medical Center for further treatment.
At this time, investigators are still trying to determine why the truck driver veered into the oncoming lane. No additional information was released and the crash is still under investigation.
