Man Killed in DUI Crash on Winton Avenue [Hayward, CA]
Two-Vehicle Collision near Clawiter Road Kills 50-Year-Old Man
HAYWARD, CA (February 23, 2023) – Sunday evening, a suspected DUI crash on West Winton Avenue claimed the life of a 50-year-old man.
The collision happened on February 19th, at around 7:30 p.m., at the intersection of West Winton Avenue and Clawiter Road
According to reports, both vehicles were only occupied by the drivers. However, the circumstances that led up to the incident remain unclear.
Responding medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after. There, medics pronounced the 50-year-old male driver of the first vehicle dead, despite their life-saving efforts.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old man driving the second vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigators. The second driver is currently being investigated for suspected DUI.
Currently, the identity of the deceased man has not been made public, pending notification from the next of kin.
