Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on First Street [Santa Ana, CA]
Fatal Pedestrian Crash near Figueroa Street Leads to Arrest
SANTA ANA, CA (March 2, 2023) – Monday morning, a hit-and-run on First Street claimed the life of a pedestrian.
The incident happened around 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of First Steet and Figueroa Street.
According to investigations, a vehicle traveling the eastbound lanes of First Street hit a man walking in the same direction.
However, the driver did not render aid to the victim and fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Unfortunately, the Orange County Fire personnel declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene. His name remains undisclosed pending notification from the next of kin.
Detectives managed to locate the suspect’s vehicle parked at a residence and arrested the driver for hit-and-run and suspected DUI.
